
The ASCI delegation, comprising 14 students, arrived at the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center on Thursday, February 4, for an immersive exploration of the center’s academic programs and its strategic role in Tsinghua University’s global engagement. As they toured the campus and the surrounding island, they gained a deeper appreciation for Bali’s unique position as a crossroads of education, sustainability, and cultural exchange. Discussions highlighted TSEA’s mission to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation, offering the students valuable insights into the university’s broader vision for international partnerships and knowledge-sharing.
The visit extended beyond academia into the realm of policy and economic development, as the delegation met with officials from the Bali Government Tourism Office. In a stimulating dialogue, students explored the future of green and digital tourism on the island, examining how sustainable practices and technological advancements are shaping Bali’s evolving tourism landscape. The day concluded with a visit to The Confucius Institute at Udayana University, where the delegation engaged in discussions on cultural diplomacy and linguistic exchange. As they departed, the students carried with them a newfound understanding of Bali’s role in global education and sustainable development, reinforcing the interconnectedness of academic inquiry and real-world impact.
