
The School of Environment from Tsinghua University visited the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center, sending a group of nine dedicated students led by Dr. Peng Yue. The visit took place on July 30-31, 2024, providing an opportunity for the group to engage with the center and gain insights into its environmental initiatives.
Beyond their activities at the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center, the group also visited ECO Bali, where they explored sustainable waste management practices and environmental conservation efforts. This visit allowed the students to understand local approaches to sustainability and their impact on the community.
Additionally, the group toured the Ibuku Foundation, an organization known for its innovative use of natural materials in sustainable architecture. This experience highlighted creative and environmentally friendly design solutions, enriching the students’ understanding of sustainable development in the region.
