On 15 June 2026, Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center (TSEA) had the pleasure of welcoming alumni from JPayroll for a company visit and annual gathering at the UID Bali Campus, located within the Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone in Denpasar, Bali. The visit brought together approximately 20 participants and served as an opportunity to reconnect, exchange ideas, and explore future collaborations in the fields of technology and innovation.
The afternoon began with the arrival of participants, followed by a presentation introducing TSEA’s mission, programs, and ongoing initiatives across Southeast Asia. The session was delivered by Michael Tuori, who shared insights into TSEA’s role as a bridge between academia, industry, and government in fostering innovation-driven development throughout the region. During the presentation, participants gained a deeper understanding of TSEA’s commitment to cultivating leadership, entrepreneurship, and technological advancement through executive education, research collaborations, and strategic partnerships. The discussion also highlighted emerging opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and cross-border innovation ecosystems.

Following the presentation, attendees gathered for a group photo to commemorate the visit before embarking on a guided campus tour led by Rian Setianto. Participants explored the facilities of the UID Bali Campus and learned more about the growing innovation ecosystem being developed within the Kura Kura Bali area. The visit continued with an island tour, providing participants with a broader perspective on the vision behind Kura Kura Bali as a sustainable and innovation-focused economic hub. The tour sparked conversations around future opportunities for collaboration and the role of emerging technologies in shaping Southeast Asia’s digital future.

Beyond serving as an annual gathering for the JPayroll community, the visit reinforced the strong relationship between JPayroll alumni and TSEA. Meaningful exchanges throughout the day opened the door for potential future initiatives, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and technology development. As TSEA continues to strengthen its network of partners, alumni, and industry leaders, visits such as this play an important role in fostering collaboration and creating pathways for impactful programs that contribute to the region’s growing innovation landscape. TSEA looks forward to exploring future opportunities with JPayroll and its alumni community, building on shared interests in technology, talent development, and innovation-driven growth.
