07-08 February 2026 – Tsinghua SEA, Bali

The Engineering Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Energy Engineering (AI4EE) was successfully held on 7–8 February 2026 at the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center, UID Bali Campus, Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone. Hosted by the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center and co-organized with the Department of Energy and Power Engineering, Tsinghua University, the conference brought together researchers, engineers, policymakers, and industry practitioners from multiple countries to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming the future of energy systems.

As an international and multidisciplinary technical forum, AI4EE focused on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and machine learning to address complex challenges in the energy sector. The conference highlighted the growing importance of digital technologies in accelerating the transition toward sustainable, efficient, and intelligent energy infrastructures, particularly in systems with high integration of renewable energy sources.

Chaired by Prof. Junfu Lyu of Tsinghua University, the two-day conference featured a strong lineup of distinguished speakers from leading universities and research institutions, including Tsinghua University, Nanyang Technological University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and several institutes under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Presentations and discussions covered a wide range of topics, such as AI-enabled smart grids, renewable energy integration, advanced energy forecasting, intelligent manufacturing in the photovoltaic industry, and digital solutions for decarbonization.

Beyond technical exchange, AI4EE fostered meaningful dialogue and collaboration across disciplines and sectors. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions that connected cutting-edge research with real-world energy applications, generating practical insights and new opportunities for cooperation. The conference also underscored the role of Bali and the Kura Kura Bali SEZ as an emerging platform for regional and global collaboration on sustainable innovation.

Through knowledge sharing and international engagement, AI4EE contributed to strengthening research–industry linkages and advancing AI-driven solutions for the energy transition. The conference reaffirmed the importance of collaborative, technology-enabled approaches in building future-ready energy systems that support sustainability, resilience, and long-term impact
